In 2003 the Quantum Mist™ fan was released to meet the demands of horticulture producers for improved application of crop protection products.  Even from the early days of design and testing, it became clear that directed air axial-fan
technology could provide increased efficiency for grape growers in terms of better spray coverage, faster travel speeds, energy savings, outstanding reliability, and minimal drift potential.

The ability to spray large areas of vines economically and effectively was just what the market needed. Growers seeking enhanced efficiency across increased acreages, options for multi-row application, and technologies to reduce spray drift were impressed by the results achieved with Quantum Mist™.  Croplands have continued to invest in improvements, and have seen the Quantum Mist™ application technology become the market leader in horticulture.

Today, Croplands can offer the widest range of sprayers of any manufacturer utilising multi-head axial fans and in 2019 we are thrilled to release the next generation Quantum Mist™ Smart Spray. More than two years in the making, the Smart Spray features key new designs and innovations including the new QM-420 fan, boom and fan frame that are brought to life through the intuitive new Fusion controller along with the new modular drift reduction and recapture system.

The Quantum Mist™ Smart Spray delivers the best of both worlds - the best coverage in full season and the benefits of recapture.

QM500: 500mm Quantum Mist™ Fan

• 5-blade fan producing maximum air for larger, sprawl-type or vigorous VSP canopy types and tree crops
• Eight recessed nozzles per head (up to 16 can be fitted), ceramic spray tips fitted
• Unrestricted intake for excellent air distribution downwind
• Extremely tough rotomolded cowl with no external spray line
• Fully adjustable with simple clamping system

QM420:  420mm Quantum Mist™ Fan

The new QM420 fan has been optimised for canopy penetration, delivering more efficient and turbulent air.

• Patent pending dual spray ring with ten-nozzle configuration
  • Spray lower rates via inner spray ring
  • Medium rates via outer spray ring
  • Higher rates with both rings
• Consistent spray pressure and spray droplet quality from the cab without needing to change nozzles or manual tap valves
• Sealed front cap to prevent water and mulch ingress
• Upgraded cowling, drive body, guards and spray rings
